I'm getting closer

I'm back to posting whenever I feel like it. So I'm going to post twice today, go figure.

On my current WIP, That Girl, I've hit 40K words. It puts me 67% to goal. It's a lot of words, but so will be the next 20K. If I had nothing more to do than to sit and write all day, I would write a thousand words a day for the next twenty days. It's doable, providing the words flow from my fingers at lightening speed. I'm on the second draft, maybe third draft, at this point in my writing I've been over some areas a few times more than others. As I get to know my characters, I start to think like them and the words come pretty easy. This is the part of writing that I love. You get to be in someone else's head, have the same emotions and experiences they are having, see the same things they see. I wonder how healthy that is, in that these people are completely fabricated. Is that like talking to yourself? But I digress.

I have two possible covers for this novel. I haven't decided which to use yet, but I don't have to. When the time comes, I may have a little vote. That would be fun, I think I'll do that. It doesn't mean I'll use the one everyone votes for, but it will be fun to get your opinions. Why do I have covers? you might ask. It's the crap that I do. I've got the new Photoshop program and I love messing in it. For what it cost, I have to get my thirty cents out of it. And speaking of thirty cents, that's all I have for now. You won't be seeing me every day, not that I was completely faithful to the A -Z challenge, but I'll get back to my usual drivel pretty soon.
