Blog Problems

Hi everyone, did you miss me. I'd like to blame my absence on Google because they blocked my blog, but I don't know when that happened. I've been avoiding it is the real truth. Why, because I've been avoiding everything, my writing included. I think I was suffering a little depression.

Good news, I am going into partial retirement, finally. Heck, I'll still be at home as much as I'm at work, but I'm looking forward to getting our house ready to sell. We've been in it for fifteen years and it needs some major overhaul. We got some hail damage, so at least the roofs of all our buildings will be replaced. I wish I could talk them into replacing the siding, too.

Will, that's all the time I have for today. Thanks to everyone who stayed in touch while I was gone. It means a lot.

  1. It seems like I am always have some problem or another with my blog too. I try to keep it all in perspective and not stress about it - don't we all have enough stress already? Best of luck with the semi-retirement. I am jealous.

  5. Melissa suggested me this blog and while going through its content, I found it helpful for me as I am myself a novelist from Pakistan. I am managing my own blogs on provincial management services and one reserved for my own literary articles on wide range of topics.

  6. I've been having blog problems myself and, I've been blogging sporadically. Too much to do. I’m just stopping in to say hi and see how you are.

  7. Is there ever a day anybody doesn't have blog problems?! LOL And as far as the writing goes, I've got a little secret... Just tell everyone you're in a Neil Diamond funk! Meaning you've locked yourself away to fully concentrate on your creative self. Who knows lie to yourself. Maybe you'll come up with a remix of Sweet Caroline! Then again maybe I'm the crazy, depressed, one! But I won't telly myself that! LOL I'm excited to follow your blog. Come follow mine at Jamie Brook Thompson.

  9. Congratulations on your semi-retirement. I understand all about the blog problems. I was writing very sporadically and discovered that my blog disappeared. I initially thought that I had neglected to renew my domain (which is a likely reason) but on the help forum one of the top contributors checked into it and said it appeared that my blog had been hacked.

For whatever reason, I lost my blog, all of my post and content along with my friends and followers. It has been very frustrating, but I have started over.

I would love to have you back as a reader/follower. I was unable to get my original domain name so I just added blogspot.com to it. Please visit me at http://fictiontoolbox.blogspot.com when you have some time.

It is good to be back and I look forward to reconnecting with all of the terrific writers I used to follow

  15. Google shut down my blog, too, without warning, because I had never publicly proved I was older than 13. They charged me $0.30 via credit card to get it back, under threat of destroying all prior blogposts if I didn't comply. Grrrrr. I called my credit card co to make sure it wasn't a scam, and they said it was legitimate---FYI---in case it happens to anyone else. What a shock to open your blog and discover you've been shut down---that your blog is being held for ransom! Sounded like a futuristic sci-fi story to me.
